FOUR further Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported today in Bradford.

They were all reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Dates of death were March 19; February 23; February 16 and January 11.

It means the total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district, according to the latest NHS figures, stands at 854 - 595 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 257 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, the deaths of 35 people who tested positive for Covid-19 were announced, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 85,765.

Patients were aged between 37 and 98 years old. All except two, aged 37 and 88, had known underlying health conditions.

Dates of death range from May 18, 2020, to March 20, 2021, with the majority being on or after March 18.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
