ONE further Covid-19-related hospital death has been reported today in Bradford.

According to the latest NHS figures, the death was recorded by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and the patient died on March 8.

It means the total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district, according to the latest NHS figures, stands at 850 - 591 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 257 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, the deaths of a total of 71 people,who tested positive for Covid-19 were announced, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 85,730.

Patients were aged between 41 and 99 years old. All except two, aged 46 and 62, had known underlying health conditions.

Dates of death ranged from September 22, 2020, to March 19, 2021.

Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
