BRADFORD MP Imran Hussain has said he is "incredibly grateful" to the NHS after receiving his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine earlier today.

Mr Hussain, who represents Bradford East for Labour, got his first jab this afternoon and paid tribute to the NHS staff running the UK's incredibly successful Covid vaccine rollout.

In a tweet, he said: "Incredibly grateful to our NHS and brilliant nurses in Bradford for my COVID-19 vaccine this morning.

"I strongly encourage all those who've been invited for their vaccine to get an appointment booked for it as soon as they can."

More than 160,000 people in Bradford have had a Covid019 vaccine so far, and almost 25 million have had at least one dose across the UK, with 1.6m having had both doses.
