THE latest Covid-19 infection rates have revealed that Bradford has the seventh highest rate in the UK.
The district's rate of 142.5 infections per 100,000 people is the sixth highest in England, the highest in West Yorkshire and the fourth worst in Yorkshire and Humber.
The rate in Bradford is current much higher than the national average, which stands at 59.4 infections per 100,000 people.
It shows how much further Bradford has to go to bring infections down, and how far behind many parts of the country the district is.
The area with the highest rate is the Derbyshire Dales, with a figure of 179.7.
Bradford also trails behind only Birmingham and Leeds as the district with the most cases, but both of those areas have a higher population that Bradford.
