A VAN "acting suspiciously" near a charity clothing collection bank had driven from more than 70 miles away to buy a phone.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) spotted a white Renault van in the Brighouse area.
A spokesperson for the force said the people in the van were "acting suspiciously" and had reversed the vehicle up to a charity clothing collection bank.
Police intervened and the driver told officers they had driven from Hull - roughly 70.5 miles away - to buy a mobile phone.
The male driver had no licence or insurance.
Officers seized the van and the driver was reported.
The West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Occupants of van seen by our unit acting suspiciously, van had reversed up to charity clothing collection bank.
