BRADFORD District Care NHS Trust has said a “thorough investigation” has found “no evidence” of offences against patients taking place at Lynfield Mount after a video appeared online.

The Trust has reiterated its careful, in depth approach to patient safety after a video alleging abuse against patients at the mental health facility resurfaced online.

It said that no evidence of an alleged incident was found following an investigation which included the Trust’s safeguarding team, West Yorkshire Police and a patient’s family

The video appeared last year but was removed, but has reappeared online again, and the Trust is working to have it removed again.

A spokesperson for Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust said: “We take issues of patient safety extremely seriously and in instances such as this we would always conduct an internal review.

“When we were first made aware of the video last year, the Trust conducted a thorough investigation led by our safeguarding team.

“The police also investigated and the patient’s family were informed and involved.

“There was no evidence of the alleged incident. The video was removed from the internet to protect the patient’s confidentiality and dignity. We are now endeavouring to have the video removed again for the same reason.”
