POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary at a school for children with special educational needs, which involved the theft of a minibus.

It happened at Highbury School in Rastrick at about 6.10pm on Monday.

Two suspects forced entry through the school gates and then gained entry to a silver Ford Transit with the school’s livery on its side.

The vehicle then drove away through the gates towards Brighouse.

Inspector Ben Doughty, who leads the Calderdale Valley's Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen two people hanging around the Lower Edge Road area on early Monday evening, or who may have seen the vehicle making its way towards Brighouse at around 6.25pm.”
