SELF-testing for Covid-19 has now been extended to whole families and households with primary school, secondary school and college age children - including childcare and support bubbles.
This means people can now test their household and support bubble by collecting lateral flow tests (LFT) for free from a local test centre if at least one household member or a member of the support bubble:
- is a school or college pupil
- works in a school or college (this includes temporary workers or volunteers)
People can collect two packs of home test kits at a local collection point and each pack contains seven tests. Most collection points are open from 1.30pm to 7pm.
- Collection sites can be found by visiting: find-covid-19-rapid-test-sites.maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/
- An appointment is not needed, but people can check online to see how busy the site is before they go.
- Do not visit a collection point outside opening hours, as it may be used to test people with coronavirus symptoms outside these times.
Test kits can also be ordered to homes in England via the Government website.
