SIR - Re T&A letters March 8. Here’s to you Mr Suchi. The front page of the T&A on March 8 informs us that thousands are driving too fast despite lockdown.

It seems to be a case of lockdown? What lockdown? There appears to be more traffic on our roads now than before the start of the pandemic in 2020.

Last spring we could go for a walk during the lockdown and hear birdsong and cross the road without looking. Now our roads and lanes are like Formula 1 racetracks. During lockdown we are allowed out for essential travel, eg obtaining food and exercise etc. The Government should inform the populace that jumping in the car and driving all over the shop does not constitute exercise.
