NO new Covid-19 deaths have been reported in the Bradford district's hospitals today.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals, Bradford District Care and Airedale NHS Foundation Trusts all recorded no furth deaths from Covid-19 today in the latest NHS figures.

The total number of Covid-19 hospital deaths in our hospitals remains 837; 579 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 256 at Airedale, and two at Bradford District Care Trust.

Nationally, a further 90 Covid hospital deaths have been recorded today, taking the total number of deaths in England's hospitals to 84,366.

Patients who died were aged between 34 and 97 years old, and all but three, aged between 54 and 87, had known underlying health conditions.

A third of the deaths were in the Midlands, with Yorkshire and the North East seeing the second most deaths with 23.

At Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, which covers the Spen Valley as well as a large swathe of Kirklees and also Wakefield has recorded a further 10 deaths today, taking it past the 1,000 deaths mark to 1,002.

It is the 22nd NHS Trust in England to pass the tragic 1,000 Covid deaths mark and the first in Yorkshire.

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust has the worst death toll of any Trust, with 2,530 deaths so far. Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, with 2,299, is the only other Trust to record more than 2,000 fatalities.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust both recorded no new deaths.
