PARENTS and teachers in the Bradford district are able to pick up free school Covid-19 testing kits throughout March, as children return to school on Monday.

Families are able to pick up two boxes containing seven kits in each from testing sites in Bradford and Keighley to take the tests at home.

When schools return on Monday, secondary pupils and teachers will be required to be tested for Covid-19 twice a week.

The Government is also asking families with school age children to test themselves for Covid-19 twice a week to keep a closer eye on infections and to prevent the virus spreading.

The staff and support bubbles of teachers in primary and secondary schools are also being asked to get tested regularly for Covid-19.

All these groups can access free testing kits, which are now being handed out from some testing sites in the district.

Kits can be collected from the Covid-19 testing site in Centenary Square in Bradford city centre, from the University of Bradford testing site off Horton Road, and Pudsey Civic Hall between 1pm and 8pm every day.

Kits can be picked up from Victoria Hall, Keighley, between 1.30pm and 7pm every day, and also from the Cavendish Street site in Skipton.
