A 19th Century coach house in Bradford city centre could be converted into a restaurant if new plans are approved.

The property on Wilton Street, off Morley Street, lies within the Little Horton Lane Conservation Area, although it is not a listed building.

It has previously been used as a restaurant, but currently has the planning designation of storage use.

A planning application has been submitted to Bradford Council by R W Nazir for the change of use of the building and the construction of a terrace seating area in front of the building.

‘Restaurant’ refused after planners' suspicions it would in fact be a take away

The application says the restaurant would employ four full time and six part time staff, and open from noon to midnight..

The plan includes two parking spaces, but points out there are ample parking spaces in the surrounding area of the city centre.

A decision on the application is expected later this month.
