“It was scary at first as my partner wasn't allowed to be with me until I went on to the labour ward and as soon as my baby was born my partner had to leave.”

Isaac Cezar Domocos was born at home in Idle on February 5 weighing 7lb 2oz, to Horia Domocos and Gemma McLean.

He is a brother for Lucas Cassian “We had planned a water birth at home, but the baby came so quick we didn’t have enough time to fill the pool so had the baby on the sofa two feet from the pool,” said Horia.

“The midwives were amazing. Labour was one and half hours. I recommend home birth - it was the best decision we could have taken. Our baby was healthy and amazing.”

Jack Wainwright came into the world at Bradford Royal Infirmary on January 28, weighing 6lb 6oz to Lucy Diamond and Nathan Wainwright, of Sandy Lane, Bradford.

“My water broke in the early hours of the morning and I was induced the next day,” said Lucy. “After a ten hour labour Jack was born at 8.52am.

“As he is my first baby lockdown made it a different experience than I expected. I was grateful for the support the midwives, care staff and doctors gave me prior to giving birth, until my partner could be with me.”

Baby Isla Grace Waite was born on January 21 at Bradford Royal Infirmary, weighing 6lb 8oz, to Stephanie Williams and Simon Waite of Shipley. She is a sister to Isabel Rose.

“The experience was very different to my last child, as my partner couldn’t be with me until I was in full labour. My labour was only five hours,” said Stephanie.

Lindsey Shepherd and Simon Stevenson, of Bradford, are the proud parents of baby Cole Stevenson, born at BRI on September 16 weighing 7lb..

“After a miscarriage I got caught pregnant with Cole,” said Stephanie. All the way through staff were great, and they were great when I had my C-section. It’s a shame that five months on I’m still not recovered from my C-section, but one good thing is me and my partner, and my little boy Bentley, now have a beautiful baby.”
