THE decision to close a breakfast and after school club has left parents "devastated".
Lidget Green Primary School (pictured) will close its Breakfast Club and After School (Kidzone) provision from May 28, 2021.
It comes after consultation process, which ended on February 5.
A letter sent to parents and carers said: "The governing body understands that the closure of the provision will have an impact on the circumstances of a small number of our families and can empathise with parents who need to source childcare for before or after school care."
The school explained it can "no longer" subsidise the provision, with demand "extremely low" this academic year.
A concerned parent contacted the T&A and said the move is "truly devastating for parents" currently using the clubs.
