ALMOST 90 per cent of all over 65s in the Bradford CCG area have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and in the district almost 122,000 people have been vaccinated.

The figures have been released by NHS England and show how many jabs have been administered up to February 21.

In the Bradford District & Craven CCG area, 89.9 per cent of over 65s – 85,251 people – have had at least their first jab, with 3,741 of these having had both doses and are now fully vaccinated.

A further 53,849 people under the age of 65 have had at least once jab in the Clinical Commissioning Group area.

NHS England has also provided a breakdown of vaccination figures by local authority, and in the Bradford district 121,894 people have been vaccinated, roughly 30 per cent of the adult population.

In the over 80s population, 20,568 people have had a jab, 13,407 people aged 75 to 79 have had the jab, and 20,390 70 to 74-year-olds have had the vaccine. In the under 70s population, 67,529 have had the vaccine.

The figures have also been broken down by constituencies, with Shipley currently the most vaccinated area of the district. These are the vaccination figures for each Bradford constituency:

  • Bradford East: under 70s – 14,092, over 70s – 8,149
  • Bradford South: under 70s – 12,988, over 70s – 10,046
  • Bradford West: under 70s – 13,826, over 70s – 7,130
  • Keighley: under 70s – 13,673, over 70s – 13,977
  • Shipley: under 70s – 17,723, over 70s – 15,063
  • Leeds North West: under 70s – 16,468, over 70s – 10,885
  • Pudsey: under 70s – 11,170, over 70s – 13,026
  • Batley and Spen: under 70s – 11,229, over 70s – 12,860
  • Calder Valley: under 70s – 21,374, over 70s – 14,943
  • Skipton and Ripon: under 70s – 14,818, over 70s – 19,541

Across West Yorkshire, 602,097 vaccinations have been delivered so far, with 279,192 over 70s being vaccinated. Nationally, 14.9 million people had at least one dose by February 21, but that figure is now more than 18 million.
