BRADFORD takeaway BITE is celebrating after its burgers were rated the most popular in the city by a leading food delivery service.

A Deliveroo customer survey found that people are beating the lockdown blues by tucking into the Ebenezer Street-based site’s fresh prime beef cooked in an authentic American style and served in a butter-toasted potato bun with a range of fresh toppings.

The ‘Original Bite’ burger was voted Bradford’s second favourite takeaway.

Nazia Ali, BITE director, said: “We are delighted that Deliveroo customers appreciate a simple, quality dish cooked to perfection.

“Our main focus is on the flavour and quality of the beef, which is a unique mixture of three prime cuts.

“The meat is freshly ground and then mixed in exactly the right proportion so that it has just the right fat content to make sure it is bursting with flavour.”

BITE was the first ‘smashed burger’ style restaurant/takeaway to open in the city back in August 2019 and it will be joined by two more outlets in Manchester and Leeds in the coming weeks. The owners plan to launch a fourth in central London by the end of the year.

Asif Haider, BITE manager, said: “When we opened there were only a couple of burger restaurants in Yorkshire using this style of cooking, and now there are probably close to 20.

“We feel it’s definitely the best way to cook the simple classic cheeseburger.”

BITE’s burgers are made with Aberdeen Angus beef, which is dry-aged, free range and grass-fed. The meat is halal and has no preservatives or additives. The burgers are made in the classic American style by ‘smashing’ them on a grill with high heat and a popular spicy chicken variety is also available.

During lockdown orders can be made online through delivery platforms Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat. You can also collect your burgers from the shop via biteburger.co.uk or by call 01274 735070.
