BRADFORDIANS woke up to a beautiful multi-coloured sunrise this morning and its all due to the Sahara desert.
Dust particles in the atmosphere from the African desert have been drawn up from there towards the UK as the jet stream is in a South Westerly direction, causing the spectacular start to the day here in Bradford and many places across the UK.

Orange, pink and purple sunrises were seen across the Bradford district today.
Weather forecasters predict these will last for the rest of the week.
