A LEADING Bradford company is supporting an initiative to showcase the wealth of products and services local businesses have to offer.

Internet services provider, Exa Networks, is one of the main sponsors of a virtual event, hosted by the Telegraph & Argus, to support great businesses in the Bradford area.

The event takes place on the Telegraph & Argus’s Facebook page on February 25, bringing together a diverse range of businesses from a variety of sectors.

Each participating business will be producing a short video, showing how they have met the challenges of lockdown by adapting their working practices, as well as looking forward to being able to resume normal customer relations once the lockdown is over.

As well as the valued support from Exa Networks, the Facebook event is also being backed by Sparkling Bradford and the Bradford Business Improvement District (BID).

Mark Cowgill, Co-Founder and Director of Exa Networks, said: “we are a very proud Bradford company ourselves, with a passion for the city and its business community, so we want to do what we can to support one another in these difficult times.

“After such a challenging year for local businesses who have seen dramatically reduced footfall on the streets, this important event will be an innovative way of showcasing what this great city has to offer and challenge the concept of ‘out of sight, out of mind’.

In another example of its support for the city, Exa Networks jointly hosted Bradford Tech Week in October last year, promoting Bradford’s technology and digital industry and encouraging people to consider careers in that sector.

Exa Networks is the creator of DarkLight, the UK’s fastest internet connection, and was the first company to bring the unique dark fibre design to Bradford in 2016. It has also been providing bespoke internet services to businesses and the education sector for the past 18 years.

The company specialises in bringing incredible performance and complete customisability to thousands of businesses, schools, colleges and universities across the UK, often significantly cutting costs while improving connectivity.
