Police stopped this white Ford Transit van after it overtook another vehicle on the pavement.
A VAN driver overtook in a roadworks queue by going onto the pavement, right in front of a police car.
PC Martin Willis - better known as Motorway Martin on Twitter - was sat waiting in traffic at roadworks on Friday.
He spotted a white Ford Transit van move out of the queue of traffic and onto the pavement to overtake the vehicle in front of it.
PC Willis then stopped the van.
He said: "Rather than waiting patiently in a line of traffic on approach to roadworks, the driver of this vehicle decided to drive around the vehicle in front of it by driving over the pavement, right in front me.
"I'm sure it made a lot of queuing drivers happy to see me stop them."
