POLICE officers managed to recover two stolen vehicles today.

The Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team shared the update and said they had been assisted by members of the public.

The van, stolen from a different area, was found in Scholes this morning.

The team added: "Following several reports regarding the bike over the past 24 hours, driving on the road and in a nuisance manner.

"Officers located the bike in a back garden in the Heckmondwike area with the intention of seizing it as a nuisance bike.

"Checks revealed the bike which had the ignition barrel and licence plate removed, was in fact reported stolen from the Cleckheaton area in December.

"If you have information regarding illegal or nuisance vehicles then you can contact our team directly at Optireminster@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk."

Operation Tireminster is a Batley and Spen initiative.
