THE number of patients with Covid-19 in the region's hospitals continues to fall.

Hospital trusts in West Yorkshire and Harrogate collectively release the information every Thursday afternoon to provide an overview of the current position within the regional and local NHS.

As of 8am today, there was a total of 571 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 receiving care in hospital, with 77 patients requiring intensive care.

That's a fall from 702 last Thursday (February 11) and 85 patients in intensive care.

Two weeks ago (February 4), that figure stood at 825, with 88 intensive care patients.
