A FURTHER two Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS England figures.

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust reported both deaths, one death on Monday, February 15 and a further death the following day, while Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust did not report any deaths.

It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 803 - 557 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 244 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

In West Yorkshire, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust reported three deaths and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported one death.

Nationally, a further 522 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 80,115.

Patients were aged between 24 and 103 years old. All except 20 (aged 33 to 91 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from April 19, 2020 to February 16, 2021 with the majority being on or after 12 February.

Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
