WORK to repair damage on Elland Road, Brighouse is due to take place tomorrow, requiring the road to be fully closed.
Calderdale Council had become aware of a crack running along the centre of the carriageway, near to Brighouse Wood Lane.
The road will be closed from 6am til around 7pm, as will Brighouse Wood Lane.
Bus companies have amended routes, while there will be no service between Southowram and Brighouse throughout Thursday.
Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Strategy, Councillor Jane Scullion, said: “Thankfully our regular inspections of Elland Road have shown no further movement or additional damage, so we’re now able to carry out work to repair the road.
"We ask all those due to make essential journeys on this road to plan their route accordingly."
