THE coronavirus death toll at hospitals in the Bradford district now stands at 800, according to the latest NHS England figures.

A further three Covid-19-related hospital deaths were reported in the Bradford district today.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported three deaths, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust did not report any deaths.

All three patients died at Bradford on Sunday, February 14.

It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 800 - 556 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 242 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, a further 231 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 79,120.

Patients were aged between 31 and 102 years old. All except 12 (aged 53 to 92 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from December 24, 2020 to February 14, 2021 with the majority being on or after February 11.

Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
