THE Met office is warning of a risk of freezing rain in parts of West Yorkshire over night tonight and tomorrow.
The forecast is for milder temperatures and some rain, but when rain falls on already frozen ground it freezes on impact, creating a sheet of ice on everything it touches.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice between 9pm tonight until 9pm on Sunday, describing the likely conditions to be potentially 'treacherous'.
Care is being advised on untreated surfaces and to avoid going out until the danger passes to reduce the risk of road collisions and falls.
