KEIGHLEY Cougars face a tricky trip and a tricky task if they want to make it beyond the first round of the Challenge Cup this season.

They have been drawn away to Championship side London Broncos, who were in Super League as recently as 2019, before being relegated on the final day.

If Keighley do pull off a surprise win down in the capital, then they will be up against it once more in the second round.

But they will at least be at Cougar Park, with their opponents scheduled to be either Sheffield Eagles or York City Knights.

The game in London will be played on either March 20 or 21, while the potential clash at home Sheffield or York is due to go ahead the following weekend.

Before that, Cougars will face Bradford Bulls in a friendly at Dewsbury's Tetley's Stadium on Saturday, March 13.

All of the above games will be played behind closed doors.

Bulls have been drawn at Featherstone Rovers in round one of this year's Challenge Cup, and they will host Halifax or Batley Bulldogs if they get through.
