THE Broadway, Bradford car park will be completely contactless for payment from today.
The shopping centre has introduced a new innovative cash-free car parking system to replace the current pay on foot parking machines.
Drivers will experience automatic entry and contactless payment via bank card or contactless device on exit or alternatively through the new Path mobile app.
Visitors to the car park will pay at the exit by driving to the barrier and tapping on the payment reader.
Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway, said: “It’s important more than ever to evolve and implement innovations in a retail environment.
“Whilst The Broadway has been conducting heightened hygiene practices for some time now, our new parking system offers an enhanced experience right through to exiting the Centre.
“We hope visitors to the Centre benefit from the convenient and safe contactless parking system.”
All cash payment machines will be removed from February 11, 2021. From that date, only contactless payments will be accepted.
