THERE have been four more Covid-19-related deaths reported by hospitals in the Bradford district today, according to NHS England figures.

Three of the deaths were reported by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, and one by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Two of the deaths at Airedale took place on Friday, and one yesterday.

The Bradford Teaching Hospitals death took place on Friday.

It brings the Covid-19 hospital death toll in the Bradford district to 777, according to NHS England.

Of those deaths, 538 have been reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 237 by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and two by Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, a further 410 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 75,767, according to NHS England.

Patients were aged between 28 and 100-years-old and all except nine of them, who were aged between 42 and 79-years-old, had known underlying health conditions.

The majority (110) of these 410 deaths took place at hospitals in the Midlands.

Hospitals in the South East reported the second-highest number of Covid-related deaths today, with 83, followed by hospitals in London (55), the North West (49), the North East & Yorkshire (48), the East of England (41) and the South West (24).

The families of all patients have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
