FLOOD alerts remain in place for parts of West Yorkshire today, after a number of areas experienced rising water levels.
There are flood alerts in place for the Middle River Aire (see pictures) and the River Spen and Batley Beck catchments, which could affect parts of the Bradford district.

A 'flood alert', according to gov.uk, means that "flooding is possible" and that people in the affected areas should "be prepared".
A 'flood warning' means that "flooding is expected" and that "immediate action is required".
A 'severe flood warning' constitues "danger to life" - thankfully, there are none of these in place for West Yorkshire, or for England as a whole.
There are four flood warnings in West Yorkshire today. These are for:
- Balne Beck, Alverthorpe Beck and Ings Beck at Wakefield Westgate
- Hebble Brook at Halifax
- River Aire at Allerton Ings, Barnsdale Road and Properties
- River Aire at Newton and Fairburn
A number of areas experienced flooding yesterday, including parts of Pudsey and Leeds, Cleckheaton, Denholme, Bingley and Brighouse.
The rising water levels also affected some train and bus services across West Yorkshire.
