A BRADFORD doctor says putting a date on easing lockdown restrictions is a ‘bit premature’.
Dr Amir Khan was responding to calls from a group of Conservative MPs who are sceptical about lockdown who are for a complete easing of lockdown restrictions in May.
He says a number of things need to be looked at before we can ease lockdown. These include the number of cases, new variants and enough vulnerable people need to be vaccinated before measures can be eased.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, Dr Khan said: “We are all a bit sick of lockdown and releases, lockdown release.
“We want to make sure we get it right when we ease the restrictions. We don’t want to go back into a lockdown.
“We have got to be really mindful. There are so many things we should be looking out for.
“We need to keep an eye on these new variants. We’ve got to make sure vulnerable groups, older people, we need to make sure enough people have been vaccinated before easing. We still have a lot of people in hospital with coronavirus.
“Putting a date on it now is a bit premature.”
