A STUNNING and considerable stretch of Dales countryside and fishing rights on the River Aire at Hanlith, near Malham, have been put up for sale.
The main lot of just more than 23 acres of pasture, woodland and ponds forming part of the parkland overlooked by Hanlith Hall and accessed by Green Gate Lane has a guide price of £300,000.
The second, of 1.3 miles of fishing rights on the Aire, in an area ‘heavily populated by brown trout’, is on the market for £55,000.
Zoe Harrison, land agent from Dacre, Son and Hartley’s agricultural team, said: “This is a unique opportunity to secure a beautiful stretch of countryside within the national park. It will be of interest to a wide range of potential buyers including farmers, anglers, amenity buyers and investors.
“The river is a stunning and unspoilt stretch of water that flows in front of Hanlith Hall, which provides a glorious backdrop, and makes it a delightful area to fish.”
