FOUR further Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS figures.

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust reported one death, while Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported three deaths.

Airedale reported its death on Tuesday, February 2, while Bradford reported one death on Wednesday, February 3 and two deaths on Tuesday, February 2.

It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 770 - 535 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 233 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust reported one death, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust reported seven deaths and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported 12 deaths.

Nationally, a further 630 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 74,249.

Patients were aged between seven and 102 years old. All except 30 (aged 40 to 99 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from January 4 to February 3, 2021 with the majority being on or after 29 January.

Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
