A GRADE II listed city centre warehouse could be converted into a cafe and an "apart-hotel" if new plans are approved.

5 Manor Row is a vacant former mill warehouse, but the building has most recently been used as offices.

A new planning application submitted to Bradford Council details plans to bring the building, which is a short distance from Bradford Forster Square rail station, back to life.

The ground floor would be converted into cafe, while the upper floors would become 12 flats - a mix of three, two and one bed units.

It says these flats will be used as an apart-hotel - a business that mixes a hotel with a fully fitted apartment.

There is a small car park in the building's courtyard.

The planning application has been submitted by Dewsbury-based SM Diamond Properties, and says: "The works will not involve any alterations to the building’s external façade with no detrimental impact on the listed nature of building."

A seperate listed building work application has also been submitted to the Council.

A decision on both applications is expected next month.

Manor Row is part of Bradford's City Village Regeneration Area - an section of the city centre that is due to undergo major changes in the coming decade, with the creation of around 1,000 dwellings.
