A BUILDING supplies firm has shared a video of "heartless desirables" destroying a two-metre tall snowman they built outside the shop in a 4x4.

CCTV footage from Farmac Building Supplies, in Pudsey, showed a dark coloured 4x4 approach the snowman, before mounting the pavement to smash through the snowman.

The vehicle then returns for round two from a different angle to destroy the creation.

Staff at the supplies shop, based in Richardshaw Road built the snowman following heavy snowfall in the early hours of Tuesday.

They shared photos of the snowman on their Facebook page, joined by the firm's mascot Maccy Bear, yesterday, however overnight the snowman was cruelly destroyed.

They shared this video on their Facebook page this morning, calling it a "sad, sad day at Farmac".

They added: "Just like to mention this terrible act of destruction was nothing to do with ourselves but the work of some heartless undesirables."

Last week, a binman was sacked by Herefordshire Council after he was caught on CCTV kicking the head off a snowman built by children living on the street.

The thoughtless 4x4 drivers were condemned in the comments.

Sally Tymon said: "I'm shocked after all your dedication and hard work!"

Clare Boswell added: "I honestly despair at the human race when they actually come back to finish off... a snowman."
