ONE further Covid-19-related hospital deaths has been reported in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS figures.

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust reported one death, on Tuesday, February 2, while Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust did not report any deaths.

It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 766 - 532 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 232 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust reported two deaths and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported eight deaths.

Nationally, a further 707 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 73,619.

Patients were aged between 30 and 101 years old. All except 21 (aged 46 to 92 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from October 21, 2020 to February 2, 2021.

Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
