A DISABLED woman from Bradford has spoken out about late food deliveries by Iceland.

"I've been having problems with Iceland," said Rose Cawley, who lives near Bradford Royal Infirmary. "After I received a delivery two weeks ago which arrived three hours late at 9 o'clock at night, they didn't turn up for a delivery on Saturday.

"I'm disabled and shielding and I can't go out to the shops," she said. "I didn't have a lot of food in so I was getting really stressed."

After re-arranging delivery for Sunday, ,she was then further upset the delivery once again turned up late.

A spokesman from Iceland said: "Our store manager has spoken to our customer to apologise for the delay in her delivery, and will personally deliver some items that were regrettably missing from her most recent order.

"We have also recruited an additional home delivery driver to increase capacity and the reliability of deliveries from this store.

"Iceland has seen a massive increase in demand for online deliveries since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and we are proud to have been able to serve so many new customers while giving priority to the most vulnerable members of society. Despite our best efforts mistakes like this very occasionally occur, but we will always do our best to put them right.

"I understand that our customer is happy with this resolution."
