Are you thinking about your options after you complete your GCSE’s this Summer or are you thinking about trying something new? An apprenticeship could be the right option for you!

Apprenticeships begin at Level 2 and go up to Level 7 which is equivalent to a masters degree. They offer an exciting alternative route to higher education whilst helping you become a real asset to employers, by not only having the qualifications they require, but also the work experience to match.

Apprenticeships at Bradford College is an established training provider, with over 30 years' experience in delivering apprenticeships and work placements. We are able to offer access to state of the art training facilities for construction, dental, engineering, health, motor vehicle and the service industries. We currently support over 1,000 apprentices and work with over 700 employers.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship combines work and study by mixing on-the-job training with classroom learning.

You will be employed to do a real job and will be earning a wage, while you also study for a formal qualification which will usually involve one day a week either at college or a training centre.

If at the point of beginning your apprenticeship restrictions are in place due to COVID-19, this will not hinder you finding an apprenticeship as employers are still recruiting and classes which usually take place at college can be moved online. We are able to operate an interactive online classroom experience which our apprentices have told us helped them stay motivated and make good progress throughout their home learning.

The Benefits

  • Choose your career path.
  • Earn while you learn.
  • You can gain higher level qualifications as you would at university without incurring student debt.
  • Increased career prospects, you will not only have a qualification at the end of your apprenticeship but the experience as well.
  • After you complete your apprenticeship, you will hopefully have gained the skills and knowledge needed to either succeed in your chosen career or progress onto the next apprenticeship level.
