PEOPLE getting their Covid-19 vaccination at Rimmington's Pharmacy in Bradford city centre are no longer able to park for free in The Broadway shopping centre.
As the pharmacy joined the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday, January 23, it was announced the shopping centre had agreed to provide up to 90 minutes' free parking for those with appointments.
At the time, Ian Ward, General Manager at The Broadway said: “It’s more crucial than ever that we must work together to help stop the spread of Covid-19 to support the NHS and save lives. The vaccination roll out in Bradford is picking up pace and we’re committed to doing anything we can to support the community through the pandemic.
“The Broadway is offering parking for all those attending Rimmington’s appointments for a vaccination, visitors simply take their parking ticket to the pharmacy who will validate it to allow exit free of charge.”
However, a Telegraph & Argus reader got in touch to say this was no longer the case when they had visited the pharmacy for their vaccination on Saturday (January 30).
Mr Ward said today: "The Broadway entered the parking arrangement with Rimmington’s on a trial basis and this period has now come to an end. We wish the team at the pharmacy the very best of luck with the vaccination roll out.”
