THE coronavirus death toll at hospitals in the Bradford district now stands at 750, according to the latest NHS England figures.

A further six Covid-19-related hospital deaths were reported in the Bradford district today.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported three deaths, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust also reported three deaths.

The three death at Bradford was reported on Thursday, January 28, while one death at Airedale was reported on Friday, January 29 and two further deaths were reported on Thursday, January 28.

It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 750 - 521 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 227 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust reported two deaths, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust reported two deaths and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported seven deaths.

Nationally, a further 681 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 71,226.

Patients were aged between 18 and 101 years old. All except 23 (aged 47 to 92 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from November 11, 2020 to January 29, 2021.

Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
