FOUR people in the same car travelling from Bradford to Oldham have been stopped by police for Covid rules breaches.
Officers stopped a silver Volkswagen car on the A672 in Rishworth initially for an expired MOT.
But officers soon discovered that the four people inside the car were from different households.
They told police they were travelling from Bradford to Oldham ‘just for a drive’.
West Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit tweeted about tonight’s incident:
A672, Rishworth-Vehicle stopped as expired MOT. 4 occupants in vehicle, all passengers from different households. Said they had gone from Bradford towards Oldham just ‘for a drive’. TOR issued for the MOT offence, and 4 x Covid breach reports for penalty notices #stayathome pic.twitter.com/opzsT1R8J7
