DAVID and Sarah Crabtree from The Raikes Care Home in Silsden and Ladies in Waiting home care agency in Ilkley donated four iPads to Addingham Primary School.

Mr Crabtree (who is pictured with Sarah and the schoolchildren) said “The iPads can continue to be used by all the children long after home schooling has come to an end and Addingham Primary School returns to normal.

"We and Addingham Primary School share a strong community bond as in pre-Covid times the schoolchildren came up to The Raikes to read for the residents along with concerts and Christmas time singing.

"Schools are under enormous pressure in these exceptional times. The teachers and all staff working in our schools do a marvellous job day in day out."

Mr Crabtree, from Bingley, appealed to local business to contact nearby schools to see if any help was needed.

"Standing together and supporting each other we will all come through these grey Covid days," he added.
