THE investigation into a major fire which ripped through a Clayton school continues today.
Emergency services were first alerted to a fire at Jaamiatul Imaam Muhammad Zakaria around 8.16am on Saturday. At the height of the fire, the building was 80 per cent involved including the roof.
The fire was finally out around 2pm and now West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue's investigation team is working at the scene.
In a statement, the school shared its "appreciation" to fire crews and other authorities who helped tackle the fire and make sure no one was harmed.
The Telegraph & Argus understands that police are not involved in the investigation.
Speaking today, watch commander O'Keefe of Fairweather Green fire station said: "The investigation is ongoing.
"There's a lot of damage. All the roof's gone. Floors inside have gone. The building is unsafe so structural engineers are going to decide what they want to do in regards to the building."
