HOW likely Bradford couples are to get engaged this year has been revealed through a study into online searches.
PsychicWorld.com sought to determine the cities in the UK where love is in the air. To do so, it analysed search volume data from Google Keyword Planner to find out how many people are looking to buy or get inspiration for ‘engagement rings’ this year.
Based on those figures, and to make the data as accurate as possible, PsychicWorld.com then calculated the average monthly search volume per 1,000 population for each of the included cities.
Bradford is ranked as the 21st out of 30 UK cities, with 3.3 searches for engagement rings monthly per 1,000 of its population.
Data reveals people in Newcastle upon Tyne have been searching for ‘engagement rings’ the most, with 8.3 searches monthly per 1,000 of their local population.
Love is in the air for the people of Warrington as well, where there is an average monthly search of 7.9 per 1,000 of the population for ‘engagement rings’.
In third place is Manchester with 7.3 searches per 1,000 population, followed by Leeds with 6.4 searches per 1,000 population and Peterborough with 6.1 searches per 1,000 population.
According to the research, the months when people are most actively looking for engagement rings are July, August, and November, with approximately 368,000 searches in the UK from people looking for a piece of jewellery to tie the knot.
