TRAFFIC was queuing for nearly five miles after a crash on a motorway.
The collision happened on the M62 westbound carriageway, between junction 27 (M621, Gildersome) and junction 26 (M606, Chain Bar), at around 7.39am.
Lane one (of three) was closed while the crash was dealt with.
All lanes were then reopened at around 8.17am, as the accident was cleared onto the hard shoulder.
There was still residual congestion on the motorway until around 9.10am.
At its peak, traffic was queuing five miles back to junction 28 (Tingley), with travel time at around 30 minutes.
Cars were also slowing down on the eastbound carriageway as they pass the scene.
At one point this was adding 20 minutes onto people's travel time.
