Man suffers burns and 'severe' smoke inhalation in bedroom fire
A man suffered burns and "severe" smoke inhalation during a bedroom fire late on Tuesday night.
Fire crews from Stanningley and Bradford were called to the blaze at a property in Swinnow Green, Pudsey, at 11.38pm.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Fire in ground floor bedroom. 2 breathing apparatus sets, 2 hose reel jets and 2 positive pressure ventilation fans used.
"One male self-rescued prior to arrival of the fire service and was treated by ambulance crews suffering from the severe effects of smoke inhalation and had minor burns to his hands."
