A KEIGHLEY snooker hall could also serve food if new plans are approved.

Elite Properties has submitted a planning application to Bradford Council that would allow the snooker hall at 12 Russel Street to be used for the sale and consumption of food.

There would also be a new steel and timber smoking shelter built in front of the building.

Popular pub will remain in place as part of a £10m development, despite proposals to demolish the buildings either side of it

The plans, submitted to the Council this week, would see a bar/serving area created in the building’s ground floor.

The application says: “The proposal represents a minimal addition of a sympathetic nature, with very little impact on the neighbouring properties. The smoking shelter will be a temporary structure. “

A decision on the application is expected to be made in March.
