A BRADFORD doctor has urged ethnic minorities to go for their Covid vaccine when invited, insisting it is safe..

Dr Amir Khan, who often appears on television, says it is safe for everyone to get their vaccine and particularly appealed to ethnic minority groups.

He urged people not to listen to ‘nonsense’ anti-vaccine myths.

Posting a video on social media, he said: “People from minority ethnic backgrounds have been disproportionally affected by the Covid 19 pandemic, leading to an increased number of deaths within these communities.

“These vaccines are safe. It is vitally important that when you are invited for your Covid vaccine, you go forward and get it done.

“It is our moral and ethical duty to protect ourselves and our families.

“Please don’t listen to the myths out there, it’s all nonsense. These are safe. They are Halal, if that’s what you are worried about.

“They will protect you and your family.

“When you are invited, get it done.”
