A FURTHER four Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported in the Bradford district today.

According to the latest NHS figures, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported four deaths, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust did not report any.

At Bradford, one patient died on Sunday, January 17, two patients died on Saturday, January 16 and another patient died on Thursday, January 14.

It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 691 - 487 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 202 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Elsewhere, one further death was reported by the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, while Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported five further deaths.

A further 532 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 61,453.

Patients were aged between 35 and 103 years old. All except 21 (aged 40 to 97 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from December 13, 2020 to January 17, 2021 with the majority being on or after January 10.

Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
