BRADFORD can expect a spell of sleet this weekend, with yellow weather warnings for snow and ice in place.

FRIDAY

Today will be a mixture of sunshine, cloud, fog and mist, with temperatures set to reach a high of just 0C between noon and 4pm.

After yesterday’s heavy snow and a cold night, there is a yellow weather warning for ice for Bradford until 10am today.

Temperatures will only fall to -1C overnight.

SATURDAY

Tomorrow will include sleet showers all morning in Bradford as the wintry conditions continue.

The afternoon will see the sleet replaced by sunshine, cloudy and brief showers. A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is also in place tomorrow.

It will be a milder day than of late, with temperatures will reach a high of 5C between 2pm and 7pm, with a dry night seeing the mercury only plunge to 4C from 8pm.

SUNDAY

The weekend will close with a brighter day than Saturday.

It will be a day of sunshine and cloudy conditions again, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 5C in the afternoon.

No weather warnings are in place for Bradford on Sunday, according to the Met Office.
