First and Northern have restricted services due to snow and ice

Northern says llkley, Ben Rhydding, Burley-In-Wharfedale, Menston, Guiseley and Baildon will not be served. The disruption is expected until 9am today.

Ilkley - via all stations - Shipley at XX.00 and XX.30 past each hour until further notice
Shipley - via all stations - Ilkley at XX.00 and XX.30 past each hour until further notice. Bus services operated by J&B Travel. Journey times will be significantly extended.

The first affected Northern service today was the 06.51am Ilkley - Bradford Forster Square and is being held at Ilkley.

Stations not currently being served are Menston, Burley-in-Wharfedale, Ben Rhydding and Ilkley

Road transport has been requested to operate & will be advertised once confirmed, subject to road conditions being safe enough to operate.

Disruption is expected until 10:00 15/01.

The driver of the broken down train is currently speaking to maintenance control in order to rectify the fault.

Meanwhile, on the buses, First says it is running a restricted service in Bradford today due to the icy conditions in the district.

The services running are:

• 615 – not able to service Stoney Lane. Operating via Allerton Rd and Rhodesway
• 633 – Normal route to Shipley
• 636/637 – Operating as a 636 route. Pasture Lane remains ungritted at present.
• 607: Normal route
• 608: To Holmewood – terminating at Broadstone Way/Lymington Drive
• 613/614: Operating 613 route only to Cooper Lane
• 616/619: Towards Eldwick
• 617/618: Towards Allerton terminating at Bradford Royal Infirmary – towards Holmewood terminating at Dudley Hill
• 620: Towards Bierley terminating via Currer Avenue, Health Hall Avenue and Burnham Avenue – towards Haworth Road terminating at Toller Lane
• 626: Main roads to Baildon only
• 640: Buttershaw normal – terminating Park Road towards Thorpe Edge – omitting Morrisons shopping centre
• 645: Towards Greengates using Harrogate Road missing out Ravenscliffe. Operating to Cooper Lane via 640/641 route
• 681: Towards to Halifax Main roads only
• 72/X6: Normal route
• X63: Normal route 256: Brighouse/Cleckheaton main roads only. Terminating at Cleckheaton on return journey omitting East Bierley.

Meanwhile, there is a normal bus service running in Ilkley and Otley.

In Guiseley, the number 27 route is diverting Over Lane (A65), Leeds Road, Harrogate Road due to the poor weather conditions.
